Immunizations

Patients get most of their shots during well visits. Well check up visits are very important and very frequent for children up to three years of age. After age three, patients should schedule well visits once a year. All of the well child visits recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics have been very wisely implemented to assure optimum health and prevent developmental problems and sickness.

This chart lists the schedule for well-child visits at Maryland Pediatrics as well as all shots recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We also recommend that all children 6 months of age and up, get a flu vaccine every fall.
