What Our Patients are Saying

About Us

We at Maryland Pediatrics consider caring for your children a great pleasure and responsibility. Most of us are parents ourselves. We work hard to manage and maintain a professional, caring and supportive environment for our patients. We are honored that you are considering our practice, and are confident that you will be pleased with our service.

Dr. Ramos

Dr. Alvaro Ramos is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has cared for children in the Carroll and Howard County communities since 1997. He earned his medical degree in 1991 from U.C.C.A in Costa Rica. Upon medical school graduation Dr. Ramos completed his Pediatrics residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey.

After completing his residency, Dr. Ramos joined a pediatric practice in Carroll County. Moved by his passion to give patients the best of care and using today’s great technology without forgetting medical compassion, traditional patient doctor relationship, in 2008, Dr. Ramos founded his solo pediatric practice and in 2015 he opened his second office in Columbia MD.

Doctor Ramos enjoys seeing his patients grow and stay in touch. Many of his patients now in college visit our practice, during their breaks, for medical visits, to bring cookies, which are greatly appreciated, or just to say hi.

Dr. Ramos is passionate about helping his patients get to college and be successful. That is why he participates in many ADHD and learning disabilities conferences.

When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Ramos enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.
